    STEEL

My knives are available in most steels commonly used in knife making.

My standard stock steel is 01 high carbon tool steel, as used on the popular woodlore knife designed and used by Ray Mears. This steel is a very good knife steel due to its excellent edge holding ability and a good degree of toughness. The only downside to 01 is that it will rust if not cared for properly.
You should never put your knife away wet, always dry the blade if it does get wet. The steel will benefit from a wipe down with a bit of oil or wax to protect the metal from oxidisation (rust).
If you wish to have a knife made in a stainless steel there are numerous options available upon request, such as..
    Sandvik 12c27
    RWL - 34
    Elmax
    Damasteel
Carbon Damascus steel is also available upon request
